The first drive looked good. One bad throw but so much good including a fight through tackles and a big block. The guys want it today. Keep it up GBR!!!!
First drives of the Riley era and the defense and offense look disciplined.
BYU blew up that last play but a couple of our players made a play. That's what it takes. Players have to make plays and they have to be in the right mindset to do it. Our guys look very composed on both sides of the ball.

Agreed. No sense of panic at all. Even in that 3rd and 9 situation. The guys stpped up and made a play when it was needed. The poise, lack of panic, and just overall discipline after 1 offensive drive and 2 defensive stands is like a 180 from the last 7 years. AMAZING what just a touch of discipline will do.

tough deal. The kid was running to the west and punted it all the way across the field to the east.
WHEN (not if) Tommy figures out when to tuck and run vs throw, this offense will be salty. He's making money throws. The jet sweep will force defenses to respect the edges. All we need is the Oline to be able to open a few holes up the middle and defensive coordinators head will be spinning. It's VERY obvious the Langsdorf is trying to make the defense cover the whole field and keep them off balance.
