people are pissed. Here is what im seeing that I cant understand.
-far too often in obvious passing downs we are bringing 3. Redicilous. The one 3rd we brought pressure was the roughing play, forced a quick throw to the safety route. Didnt have time to go through progressions.
-we put gifford down a few times and bring 4 which isnt blitzing but at least its 4. On their last touchdown he did his job but newby for some reason was staring at the quarterback and not covering his guy. He should have been there for a tackle. Thats something very undisciplined. Coaching or player?
-I cant stand how wide and deep our OLBs are in a standard set. They are out in the middle of nowhere. Help against the run can only come five yards down the field. Its awful. And they arent finding recievers mid route.
-our corners are way too deep, but when you arent bringing heat to force quick throws thats what you get. The most errant time for this was their last play before the FG. Our corners were way off in a situation that calls for a five yard out route and out of bounds to kill clock and set up a FG. Poor situational awareness and or management.
Im looking forward to seeing the 2nd half adjustments. Better bring some heat and play man under!!
