Other than the tweet from 8am that you posted haha. The ones that were pinned on the Husker baseball twitter page for previous games looked identical to this one, so I didn't think it was anything new.

We've been doing an outstanding job of getting the leadoff man on base today. That and a combination of excellent defense behind Gomes allowing him to settle in have been the difference. All around solid game by the Big Red through 7 innings.

I am optimistic. Hope they play loose and fresh. No fear. They're already expected to lose. So what?!?? No pressure. Just don't let yourselves get beat down. They got 4 tries to be 'King of the World' for a day (maybe more). Just keep scoring those runs!

Dagnabit! I was occupied until about 2:00 and missed any notice on the game time change. And, naturally, when I open the app to listen to the game, it tells me the score so I can't even wait and listen to the radio archive! Oh, well.
Solid start to the season. Pretty much dominated for 35 of 36 innings. Only not 4-0 because....baseball.
The most impressive thing to me? Late-game scoring. NU scored in 11 of the 12 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. And scored a total of 33 runs! I'm sure Riverside's bullpen, and the damage the Big Red did to it in game one, were factors. It's sure an encouraging sign after the first weekend, though.
