Dang it! After Friday's game our RPI improved from 48 to 40. Once all the Friday games finalized it slipped right back to 48.
Turns out all our previously played opponents went 8-18 for the day. Our SOS took a dump dragging the RPI down with it,

I noticed. The good news is that it indicates just how fluid the RPI still is at this point in the season and there’s time to improve it, right?
Plenty of time. The good news about that cause I spelled out is that opponents just might flip that 8-18 to 18-8 (or something like that) today. Make up lost ground, right?
When you have a decent SOS like we do, you expect a .500+ record in their cumulative games. Yesterday they went .308 and we should expect them to revert to norm sooner or later.
That and the fact that the real RPI-boosting portion of the conference schedule is yet to come.
Can we please not follow the lead of the broadcast crew and instead call them ‘jerseys?’ Girls wear ‘tops.’

We are lucky to be playing PSU this weekend because we’ve left about 15 runs on the bases. How you get a runner on 3rd and not score him is bad once but twice? I guess if we win it is all irrelevant but we need to figure that out. Problem is we don’t have a true 3 or 4 hole hitter. Glad our pitching is doing it’s job. GBR!

He would be the closest but because he and Schwellenbach have the best average/OBP they want to increase their at bats by putting them 1 and 2.
I myself would like to see Pelensky back at the 3 hole and then put our best bunter at the 2 hole.

Sounds like Altavilla may have been robbed from an extra base hit. Didn’t see it obviously but good grief that’s bad luck.
