Our ace had a rocky start but quickly adjusted, was nails the rest of the way and got the win. Their ace was good but ran out of gas and took the loss. That feels good.

It was an odd game. You could argue Penn State played a tad better overall but we got the big inning when we needed it, on a long ball and an RBI groundout at that. That is what this team needs to do if they are going to make a regional!

After we went down 2-0 in the 1st inning, I didn't feel too good about winning this one. Impressive to hold them scoreless the rest of the way and get just enough key hits to win.

After dropping 10 spots in the RPI Tuesday, this win moved NU back up 10 spots to #40.

I peeked at Warren Nolan’s prediction page and it’s currently forecasting a final conference record of 17-7 (third place behind Michigan and Indiana) with 33-17 overall with an RPI of 34. That would do nicely.

Penn St. is not, bottom of the conference, despite their record.
I watched some of that Penn St/Indiana series on Plus...
Those games went the exact same way.
The Nitty Lions looked to be the better team over the Hoosiers.
Huskers just need to finish business and get out.
