I've finally been convinced by the RSS that Coach Cav is the basis for all things bad at NE. So I've put together a little list of the most troubling ones - most of which are parodies of things I've actually read on this site.
1. Well, let's start with the obvious- he's a bit on the shortish side. We all know how the song goes. Plus it's listed in the offensive line Coach manual that you must be 6 ft.: that requirement will likely be changed to 6' 2" next year I'm told.
2. He didn't get Foster Sarrell. Despite info from one of our members close to the scene that Foster loved Coach Cav, the family loved him, Foster chose Stanford, his dream school. Failure.
3. He does not follow the stars. How can he know where he's going? It's freaking frustrating he hasn't offered every 4 and 5 star on the list.
4. He should have started all true freshmen last year. If he signed 5, he should play 5. If he would have played them, the five guys who did play wouldn't have gotten hurt, am I right?
5. He invites players over to his house. In this day and age that's just weird.
6. We can already tell the guys he recruited are no good even though none have played. The nerve of the guy to play walkons, cause we're all sick of that program.
7. Why does he insist on wanting long, lean, athletic players. Hard to run the option with those guys.
8. I can't take credit for this but it's so good I'm gonna borrow it. Only line recruit we have so far is Will. Anybody could have gotten him cause his brother went to NE. Doesn't matter Cav recruited the brother right?
9. I'm sure it was Cav's fault we didn't take Avery. Coach JP wouldn't do something like that. I expect Cav to have similar impacts on other 4 stars.
10. I hacked Bo's computer - yes he has one and you can guess what was on there (let's just say xxx and and not X's and O's). There are many emails where he and Cav discuss how you can't recruit to NE.
