That helps. Man the start Jesse has had. He's already got 17 RBI's...2nd place is Schreiber/Roskam with 6.

He also had 3 career homeruns before this year. He's got 3 already this year.

We returned to regular baseball today, hope it continues tomorrow. Alvarado had a terrific day. Looked good and I wish he had come out for the 8th.

I understand the 115 pitch thing but he said afterwards that his arm was still good. An Alvarado/Hohensee 8th & 9th would have saved Tillotson for Saturday. That would be nice.

I don't even really like 115 pitches this early in the season even if he is feeling good

Totally agree with taking him out after 115 pitches. Long season ahead yet and pitching for this team is precariously thin. Alvarado will have to have a tremendous year as our Friday night stud to get us off to good start each B1G series. Someone mentioned earlier that it has the feel of a “just find a way to get to the tournament and win it” kind of year. If so, we will need arms like Alvarado continue to develop and dominate.
