07 April 2019 Game 26: Purdue at Nebraseball (NU wins 9-5)

It rained fairly well last night in Lincoln.
But a forecast of mid 70's and sunny skies with a NW 15 mph wind should make it another beautiful day with another great crowd at Haymarket Park.
With the Sunday noon time start, expect a slow arriving crowd.
Still expecting to represent college baseball well on ESPNU!
Purdue has not left and gone home just yet.
Let's finish this series strong!

Can’t do any updates today. Will throw some Twitter highlights in later if need be.

Great weather for baseball and let’s get this sweep!

Also, team ERA is down to 3.87 and the team batting average and OBP is up to .285/.393

Acker and Chick dinged up today and will not be in the lineup.
Schwellenbach still out.

As a result...
Henwood enters at 2B, Hallmark to CF.
Roskam to 1B, Gomes is moving to 3B.

May impact the decision to throw Gomes late in the game if we are in that situation.

I'm still hoping we add a few games to the schedule, but at this point it might not matter much. We are sitting near the top of the standings with a top 40 RPI with plenty of opportunities to move up.

This team will be pretty dangerous come postseason play with four quality starters. Even if we can't count on Luensmann or Curry I still like our top four arms in the pen. Schanaman might already be my favorite pitcher on the staff.

Roskam and Altavilla seem to be picking it back up at the plate and I love a lot of the young bats. When Schwellenbach returns we will have our deepest lineup in years.
