It’s 3-2 Huskers through 6 innings. The Huskers had an early 3-0 lead from a Banjoff solo shot and a 2 RBI single by Roskam in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Columbia added a couple from a solo shot and an RBI single to bring the score to 3-2.

The Huskers workaround a couple unearned runs to make the score 5-2 heading to the top of the 8th.

    Columbia came to play today.
    They want that first win.
And they had a chance to tie or take the lead in the 8th.
Today could have easily turned to disappointment.
Credit Schreiber for working his way out of trouble.
Everyone was happy just to walk out with a Win.

Columbia today kinda reminded me of those scrappy smart Northwestern teams we've seen in the past.

    Keep the focus Huskers!

Not saying the Huskers shouldn't take all 4, but...

I'm almost as impressed with conceding 0 walks.
