Will play the winner of (1) Oklahoma State and (4) Harvard played at 6pm CDT tonight.

Winning the 1st 2 games is everything opening weekend. Go get em

Indiana took a 3-2 lead in their elimination game.

Top of the 2nd, two run triple tied the game, walk put runners at the corners.
Double steal! Out at 2nd, safe at home. Ha! Double steal - a beautiful thing.

Indiana heating up the bats, three home runs, leads 9-3 middle of the 8th.

Looks like UCONN and Harvard are in a weather delay. Something to keep an eye on regarding our game.

Ouch! Seventh inning and leading 4-0, Illinois just gave up a single, home run, double and another homer. 4-4 and now a HBP gets 1st base, no outs. Ouch, ouch.

Starter still in.

Illinois is about to get eliminated. Leading 5-4 middle of the 8th, they just gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. Single, walk and a pinch hit two out
double scored 2 but the hitter got all the way home on a throwing error.

Must have been a snowball fight on the diamond. Top of the 9th now and the Illini on their last at bats trailing 5-7.

I picked Illinois to be the B1G's best chance for a Super. Dumb me.

Yep, Illinois lost. Had 2nd and 3rd, one out, strike out ground out. They gone.

Ohio State has played horrible defense today on this turf. They are lucky to even be tied right now. That team finds a way.

This is not the same Oregon’s State team we faced earlier in the year. Their imploding right now.

Looks like they are targeting 8:30pm CDT first pitch now for our game...

UConn beat Harvard 10-2 while collecting 17 more hits. Good grief, 36 hits in two games. Gotta believe those batters are all smiling and this production is way, way above their season average.

Huskers still up 3-0 Bottom 3rd

Remember guys, Waldron is 2nd in the NCAA with his K to walk ratio but he isn’t 1st, 2nd, or 3rd team All-Big Ten. Good grief Big Ten media is awful when it comes to understanding baseball.

Huskers 3-0 new pitcher according to the stats. Good sign. They're hitting Waldron but they're also leaving on base runners

Erstad will always find a way to overthink himself out of a big win. It’s as simple as that. Shay shouldn’t had been taken out. That’s a lot of pressure on a guy playing 1st base and in the 5 hole to come in and succeed against the heart of the lineup. Should of won that game and that decision literally lost it for us.

Have a good night and GBR tomorrow. Hoping for a regional championship appearance at this point.

Are you really defaulting to the “blame Erstad” narrative right now? Colby Gomes is the closer. Period. He has been nails all season and unfortunately wasn’t tonight.

Yes, I think it’s a crucial moment for any pitcher. I feel you have to think outside of the regular season status quo. He ran out to warm up, ran in the get ready to bat, that’s a lot of pressure. Sticking with Shay had the better odds in this particular situation.

Also, it isn’t a narrative, it is what it is.
