    Looking Like Its Rhule

LOL, look at what happened. The Frost/Sipple/Davison trio presided over the worst coaching career in NU history. That's sort of inarguable. The Frost coup was an utter disaster for football and the university.

    Looking Like Its Rhule

I understand this, but I also think Riley would have created a successful program had not the Frost/Sipple/Davidson coup come to power.

FWIW, Lars Anderson Just Doubled Down on Mickey Joseph

It does look that way, doesn't it? I wish we had some other options in the state besides the Huskers. There is something seriously amiss in the men's programs.

FWIW, Lars Anderson Just Doubled Down on Mickey Joseph

This. I don't know if Alberts is a good AD or a bad AD. There is nothing to base judgement on, either way. But the problems at NU obviously go further up than athletic directors. Who has hired these guys? Who hired Moos? It looked to me that Moos was only hired to fire Riley and hire Frost. Then...

FWIW, Lars Anderson Just Doubled Down on Mickey Joseph

As a gentle reminder, there is no evidence at all that "Trev is better than that."

FWIW, Lars Anderson Just Doubled Down on Mickey Joseph

I'm leaning this way as well. If Alberts has been unable to attract top coaching talent, I think the program might have a better deal with Joseph. At least he's interested, and he has a great work ethic to this point. He needs polishing, certainly, but people have been known to grow into roles...

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

    Carry on, Husker Fans.

    Inept across the board. Purge.

Yes, Nebraska is certainly less attractive than it was 30 years ago. I am old enough to remember better times.

True, I don't know any more than anyone else. But it's my impression that the incompetence of the athletic department is pervasive, right down to the AD from the University of Nebraska (Omaha). I think most smart, successful head football coaches at major football programs don't want anything to...

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

USC, Donte Williams. Oliver Purnell, Clemson. Wade Houston, Tennessee. Also, Omaha is the most segregated major city in the U.S. Do your research, please.

Or it could be even longer if nobody's interested.

    Our Roster

That's far too many. It should be closer to 120. How many of those are walk ons?

It doesn't seem like it's helping at all, does it?

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

How many colleges have never, ever had a head coach of ANY sport that was/is black? Also, this is a particular Nebraska problem because of political optics, and infamous Omaha segregation.

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

Yes, just keep telling yourself that. FYI, the university has been doing that for years.

Trev better have the hire of the century

I wouldn't hold my breath. I have doubts about his "process." I think he's had more than one denial already. The situation in the NU athletic department, and administration in general, is quite grim.

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

Is he the booster that's responsible for the train wreck over the last five years? Why don't we invite him to leave the state? We would be better off, it sounds.

    "Matt Rhule unlikely" - Sipple

This is a Really Big Deal, and it's been talked about nationally. It, and other things, makes Nebraska undesirable to some of the finest collegiate athletes out there. I'm really afraid that, at the end of the day, Alberts is going to offer the job to the most desperate coach that is available...

    Inept across the board. Purge.

    IMHO, Green should be fired.

    Anybody but Rhule..

Honestly, we would be damned lucky to get Rhule. There is just no way he would accept the job, though. We will end up with a slightly desperate head coach.
