    OT Retirement

While you are not wrong on the health of many banks, the number of banks in the US has declined every year for almost a century, and the number has dropped by over 100% (from over 8,000 to around 4,000 banks) over the last 20 years. In 1934 there were over 14,000 banks in the US. You are...

    OT Retirement

As well as the US budget deficit which has been growing for 2+ decades straight. Lots of emphasis and recognition in this thread on the need to reduce or eliminate personal leverage as part of a retirement plan, while leadership of our country has been kicking the can on the issue for over a...

    OT Retirement

Some variables loom large - surprised certain ones aren't getting more discussion in this thread, particularly for those talking about retiring in their 40s/early 50s.

It's official - Sapp to CU

Simply can't lose to CU this year - end of story! A loss would mean going 0-4 against them since 2018. That's to a program that has had one winning season in the past 18. I don't care how much panache CP has brought to them, 0-4 would represent an epic embarrassment.

    Now Blaise Keita Leaving

I'm putting odds on Keita overcoming his injuries and making a significant contribution elsewhere just slightly better than Bill Walton, Greg Oden, and Sam Bowie lacing them up again.

    Rice in portal?

I didn't get to see much of Rice this year - he sounds like a younger version of Wilcher? One problem NU basketball has had for years now is we haven't had the top-to-bottom roster talent that Danny Nee was able to assemble during his tenure. Unfortunately, he found a way to consistently lose...

And when the FAU player basically decides to dribble the clock out in regulation vs trying to win the game.

Finally framed my pics some 34 years later

So many things in these pics that remind me what a different time that was, including having a QB room deep enough were a kid as talented as Gdowski could barely see the field until his senior year. Not to mention, a kid with that patience to ride the pine for 3 years until he got the chance.

November 11, 1978 Oklahoma at Nebraska

Didn't know that TO supplied Buster Rhymes with that machine gun.😉 Little doubt we'd have seen some more epic battles in the 90s if Switzer had stayed at the helm and avoided the scandal that brought him down, but I would have liked our chances - tough to bet against TO leading the kind of...

November 11, 1978 Oklahoma at Nebraska

TO and the fans didn't get to enjoy that milestone win for long. Couldn't stop James Wilder the next week and then had to turn around and play OU again in the Orange Bowl - we all knew how that was going to go.

SIAP: One Ranking of the B1G Coaches

Some of these types of stories are pretty comical. Just saw one on top Big 12 coaches done by a homer from Colorado Buffs Wire. He had Coach Prime and his one 4 win FBS season ranked above Klieman whose had 4 winning seasons in five at KSU and 4 FCS natty's

    Luke McCaffrey

I remember listening to Tyler Polumbus, former Bronco who hosted a Denver radio show and also helped coach Luke at Valor Christian, talk about him on his radio show when he was still a QB for NU. Someone asked how good a college player he though Luke would be. He never said he'd be a great QB...

multiple cars stolen from Denver Broncos training facility

The only thing funny about this is how true it is. The police in Denver proper will eventually find a way to extract money from you no matter how conservative or law-abiding driver you are. Its somewhat better in the suburbs. Biden spent the night in downtown Denver a few months ago, and they...

multiple cars stolen from Denver Broncos training facility

They do, but they aren't as bad as the photo red light tickets. Those give you a ticket if any part of your vehicle is still in the intersection when the light turns red. They also give you a ticket if you stop at the light but impede on the white line before the cross walk - I've gotten...

multiple cars stolen from Denver Broncos training facility

My son's old Honda Accord was stolen from in front of our house in Golden this past summer - stolen solely so they could take it somewhere to get underneath to steal the catalytic converter. Police wouldn't even come to the house. Car theft is a class 3 felony in Colorado, but in Denver you're...

Hoiskers are 1.5 dogs on the road over the Hoosiers

This is the same Xavier Johnson that committed to NU/Tim Miles back in like 2017 or 2018 isn't it? Wow.
