With clock ticking on eligibility, my advice to my kid would be to find a place where you can play. There is good basketball everywhere.

Chiefs fans vote down stadium tax that would have helped build a new stadium.

The location of the current stadiums is really bad. Nothing is built up around there to spend a day before or after the game other than massive parking lots. Drive, park, go to a game, then leave...generates nothing to the atmosphere nor financial benefit to the immediate surrounding area...

Chiefs fans vote down stadium tax that would have helped build a new stadium.

It was to build a new baseball stadium downtown and renovate Chief's stadium at its current location.

    Spring football

I get the point trying to be made, but it isn't really fair when the QB run is actually part of the offense and not just all scramble plays.

Wait...isn't it your position (possibly even claimed to be a fact) that Rhule guaranteed Raiola the starting job?

If A&M isn't a move up, why have 2 NU ADs gone from NU to A&M?

Its official. NU has a useless Board of Regents!!

Yes, someone saw all the gross incompetence and decided to give him a better job and a lot more money to punish him.

multiple cars stolen from Denver Broncos training facility

Dumb question, but how do modern cars get stolen so easily? I find it hard to believe they don't have better security than the old days of "crossing the wires". Are people leaving their keys in the car, so all you'd have to do is break the window? In the case of the Broncos situation, it...

    Unlimited eligibility?

Because some organization arbitrarily said 4/5 was the magic number? Why are there 6th year seniors? Guess rules are diifferent for some. Also, since athletes at Dartmouth are now considered employees of the university, they are no longer amateurs.

    Unlimited eligibility?

I asked you a question that you didn't answer...why can't I continue to play after 4 years if I'm a student at NU? What exactly am I stretching on? If you are going to argue with me, be specific and answer my question.

    Unlimited eligibility?

"lost one case"? Just off the top of my head in several years, the NCAA has lost or likely will lose: 1. NIL 2. Multi-transfer rule 3. Athletes ability to unionize as employees of the institution All 3 are monumental changes against how the NCAA has operated for decades. The last one might be...

    Unlimited eligibility?

Wow, you had to have pulled a hammy stretching that much. Strange attempts to draw comparisons where there are none. Suppose I played 4 years of baseball at NU. Great hitter for average, a great second baseman, but I'm 5' 2" with no power, so no professional organization drafted me. Why...

    Unlimited eligibility?

Who came up with 4/5 years as the (standard) limit, and why? Now that I can get paid to plaly, that limit is restricting my ability to earn a living. The NCAA has lost every significant court case related to its business model. Why would they win this theoretical case?

    Unlimited eligibility?

I think you missed the point. The idea of unlimited eligibility has nothing to do with Covid. Rather it's based on the legal argument that a potentially arbitrary number of years to play infringes on someone's ability to earn a living. That idea doesn't go away after the Covid "free year" is...

    Unlimited eligibility?

Saw an interesting take that I hadn't thought of or heard discussed: "After transfers become unlimited in the near future, the next will be unlimited eligibility. The artificial 4 years will be history since it infringes on the players' ability to earn NIL money. If the player is enrolled and...

Chip Kelly leaving UCLA for Ohio State

Unfortunately, since IMO you turned this thread into a shit show, this is in the 95% slice of the pie chart. Maybe next time, but the odds aren't good. I don't think private information should be shared publicly, mainly because that is the pretext of the board we all voluntarily participate...

Chip Kelly leaving UCLA for Ohio State

I've been on a couple of teams where a good, contributing member got kicked off because he was a PITA. Immediately everyone was worried, but in the end the team was fine and everyone that remained was happier. That's Kong. On day 1 he again showed me that about 95% of the threads he's...
