    Update: Iowa Sucks

No. Ferentz has had four ten-win (regular season) teams. 2002, 2009, 2015, 2021. 2021 was, by much, the least capable of the four.

    Is Iowa the new texas?

That's even less likely to happen than Erstad leaving Debby.

    Husker Baseball vs Iowa 4/15

Iowa is, at least statistically, a better offensive team than Minny. ..

Five B1G baseball teams got in

Possibly. It's my understanding the a bid was MSU's to lose. If they would have played better in the B1G tourney, but Michigan still managed to win it, it's conceivable that both could have gone, likely leaving Oregon out.

Five B1G baseball teams got in

It did indeed. The only way Michigan could get into the regionals was to win the B1G tournament. If that hadn't happened, MSU would have gotten in.

Game 9: #6 Indiana 10-2 over #2 Iowa (Elimination Game)

During the regular season, that same Iowa team swept this Indiana team, and beat Michigan and Maryland 2 of 3 (both at their places). So clearly, this isn't the same Iowa team. They'd better raise the bar back to where it was before, or the rest of the post-season will be a short one.

Big Ten Baseball Championship Game: #3 Michigan 4-3 over #4 Maryland

Wow. Talk about a "meh" team getting hot at the right time. I'd say they had plenty of help from their opponents this weekend, too.

Nebraska their own worst enemy today....Illinois pretty lucky.

    Game 3: #1 Illinois 3-2 over #8 Nebraska

The HP ump has been anything but consistent. Unless you count "consistently bad".

    Game 3: #1 Illinois 3-2 over #8 Nebraska

Boy, you guys REALLY got hosed on that call. That thing was a good 6 inches to a foot outside. Poor performance by this HP ump has hurt both teams today. If the Hawks get this guy when they play Michigan tomorrow, they'll play the game under protest...

D1Baseball.com: Big Ten must relish opportunity

What Iowa does next year will depend a little on what juniors come back. None, with the possible exception of Hickman, is a can't - miss certainty in the draft. Many have done well, but it's been mostly a team effort this year. I don't see one non senior who couldn't benefit from more college...

D1Baseball.com: Big Ten must relish opportunity

For the record, the chances that Heller goes anywhere in the near future are slim to none. And none outweighs slim by 200 lbs. This is the job he's always wanted, and he's an Iowa guy through and through. He's shown a huge commitment to the program (and vise-versa), and it's paid off so far. The...

Nebraska vs. Iowa (Huskers lose 4-3)

He probably thought--understandably--that you were talking about game one of today's double header, not game one of the three game series played yesterday. He assumed--again, understandably--that you guys would have moved on from yesterday, and would be taking about TODAY's first game. Guess not.

Nebraska vs. Iowa (Huskers lose 4-3)

It's ironic that the Huskers big hit in the game came from a kid from Iowa. And one that, if his recruitment were taking place today with Heller at the Iowa helm, wouldn't even be at Nebraska...

Nebraska vs. Maryland Game #2 (Huskers lose 8-2)

Re: Nebraska vs. Maryland Game #2 (Maryland leads 8-2 Top 9th) I'm assuming that this is an aberration of sorts. Maryland is projected to be among the top teams in the B1G THIS year, but that's not common. Most years, Nebraska would take care of them. And I think going forward, that will be...
