B1G quarterfinals Nebraska MBB +4.5 vs Michigan

If you were considered the better team why were you 4.5 under dogs on a neutral court?

B1G quarterfinals Nebraska MBB +4.5 vs Michigan

John Beilein ran the 1-3-1 extensively at WVU. I'm assuming Miles is more than aware of this and knows Michigan would adjust to it at half easily....the timing was perfect...take Michigan by suprise amd make them think about it at half instead of other things

Basketball: What Next Years Teams Have

A few notes on Michigan: 1) its is not a foregone conclusion that Mo Wagner is leaving. He is a kid who is really enjoying college and word is that he is leaning towards staying more and more by the day. It will likely come down to his pre-draft evaluation. If it looks like he will be a sure...

At Least 20 Schools. How big is this going to get?

Sure...and the german families who watched the trains go by were just as guilty as Hitler when it came to the Holocaust

At Least 20 Schools. How big is this going to get?

Maybe if you hand over your research on steroids conducted during the late 80s and 90s

Will Frost do something similar to Friday night lights?

I'm not sure if it was the first but the first time i heard of FNL was when Meyer was at UF (significantly before you guys did yours). It was a massive thing back then and drew kids with marginal at best interest (in UF) who just wanted to show against other top players....of course it gave...

    Michigan -3.5 @ Nebraska men’s basketball

Actually he hasnt used the 1-3-1 much since his days at WVU. He pulls it out, occasionally, to confuse teams but for whatever reason he kind of left it behind.

    Michigan -3.5 @ Nebraska men’s basketball

Mo Wagner hurt his foot last week. He toughed it out for MSU but maybe vegas is thinking he will be limited in this game?

Recruit wise who do we finish out with the class?

Its an interesting question. I know at one point it seemed that if we offered we would get him. And the thing is there were are a couole analysts , whose opinions i trust and have seen him live multiple times, who have little doubt about the kids talent. Word was the kid was the best OL at our...

Nebraska VS Penn St -- 1994

Michigan and NU pplayed two common opponents that year. Michigan won by an average of 29.5 points while NU by 15.5. While 15.5 is a nice, Michigan's average margin was nearly double. Thus, the only reasonable concuclusion shoukd be: A) Michigan's O was a little better than you remember B)...

    Cotton Bowl

The difference you are talking about is that Meyer is able to land big guys that are really really fast. Recruiting smaller guys who can run isn't a choice coaches make over recruiting guys who are just as fast but bigger.

    Recruiting focus after dead period

That's not entirely true. Bad oline play is hard to mask in any system and when you have a QB who is asked to create with his feet, by design, bad oline play can get him (figuratively) killed. Just look at Ohio State...I can't quite remember the last time they had their starting QB make it...

Big Ten football players making a difference (off the field) during the holidays

While this is not about NU players if just one person here donates it will be worth any ridicule I might take for posting this: A couple years ago Chad Carr, the grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, died of brain cancer at the age of 5. A few days ago, All Big Ten DE Chase Winovich...

Rut-roh, UCF RB not doing Frost any favors

And your point is what? I hate it when some sort of stupid makes me defend my school's rival. So he lost a couple games while winning a National Championship, dominating a conference and making multiple playoffs. There are very few things I hate more than giving Ohio credit but are you that...

Rut-roh, UCF RB not doing Frost any favors

Along that thought... Meyer didn't "change" his O...he modified it to fit a style of play...it's not like he scrapped what he was doing...Rich Rod failed for a lot of reasons at Michigan and a big one is he didn't adapt to a style of play...He litteraly thought everyone would adjust to...

Rut-roh, UCF RB not doing Frost any favors

Urban Meyer never had a 1000 yard RB prior to Ohio State. He made some modifications to his O to put in more of.a power game to fit the B10 style...voila... now it's basically a given he has one each year...maybe Frost will do something similar?

    4 star recruits

In generall there are multiple reasons this can happen and it differs case by case. Some of the reasons (from what I've gathered) can be: 1a) A kid has a hole in his game. I actually think the guys who do the rankings do a decent job but the coaches simply are better. We are talking about kids...

Harbuagh 2015 class (14 commits); Frost 2018 class

Yeah...we returned only 5 starters rhis past year (one on D). Thus next year we are scheduled to return 18...and to the point of the thread...most from the classes in Hatbaugh's first full two classes (both massive in number of recruits)...after an underwhelming tramsition year class
