Soooo Rhule couldn’t see the problem supposedly yet he brought in Thomas as co/OC and QB coach. I haven’t seen Rhule throw a single player under the bus. He’s made it clear IMO opinion with what he’s done that he’s not happy with Satterfield’s job performance. He’s tried to help Satt but he may have no choice but to fire him.problem is, we saw Satt had a problem last year.. and so did Rhule..
Rhule did bring in another OC guy to be QB coach..
However he sounds pretty defiant about 'what we are saying about Satt' and throws the players under the bus.
He's saying he's not doing any directing in the game.. (i don't know if true or not) but he sure doesn't seem to want to take any heat off Satt either.
It sort of seems like he is defending Satt overall, so I don't get any feeling that anything will change.
Satt will work extra hard and we will get another W, make our bowl game and the offense will come alive for another game or two, but eventually fall back down into Satt's normal comfort zone.. and nothing will change.
I hope to all heck, Satt just leaves at the end of the season.. otherwise there is zero indication that Rhule will make a change.
Tom stated multiple times after he retired that he had kept underperforming assistants on staff and worked with them until he was sure they couldn’t cut it. Rhule I think has recognized now that Satt can’t cut it in the B1G. We’ll see what he does.
