Getting all the information about the mess surrounding interpreter Ippei Mizuhara and Shohei is a mystery to me. I know Shohei comes across as a nice humble guy and maybe he is but will this whole mess stain his nice guy reputation? Shohei is a once in a lifetime athlete who plays baseball and I hope as a fan he comes out of this well. My biggest concern is MLB and other professional sports leagues do not like major gambling amongst it's players or coaches most famous is Pete Rose.
I have no idea if Shohei was involved in any of the gambling with Ippei but there is plenty of smoke for right now. MLB won't turn a blind eye regardless of who the player is. Let's hope Ohtani had nothing to do with gambling, he is very important to the Dodgers and MLB for that matter but he's not infallible.
