No doubt that the program is improved under Rhule. We are 5-4 doing it with mirrors on offense without a QB. We’re competing with most of the B10 with a roster that looks like one coming off of probation, with probably the youngest overall set of contributors we have ever played here. The injuries have been dramatic and it’s frankly pretty amazing we’re where we are. We’re essentially playing all freshman or former walk-on WRs and we’re also suffering the injury bug in the defensive backfield.

That being said, 3 issues have hurt us that’s on him. Not that he could have predicted this, but nonetheless on him.

The Sims experiment was a disaster. This one was not all his fault as Sims played better at GT than here, but when the lights came on here, he flopped. Maybe if his first start would have been at home it would have turned out better. That being said, I’m not yet totally convinced that HH has done any better than Sims would have done. But Sims got hurt and that was that.

Staying with Corcoran until he got hurt was a mistake. Maybe he had no choice because Teddy wasn’t ready, but almost anyone would have been better.

Finally, I think we could have done better than Satterfield on this staff. But that remains to be seen as he can hide behind the lack of a QB for now.
