Way too early field of 64 But I, for one, am glad they do it. Just keep talking baseball and I'll be there.

Only four of our 22 opponents are in the field..
TCU (2 seed at the Arkansas regional)
Long Beach St (2 seed at the Arkansas regional)
Iowa (3 seed at the Florida regional)
Michigan (3 seed at the Stanford regional)

I know the field isn’t technically seeded 1-64 but landing as the #2 seed in the #16 national seed’s regional means they’re predicting we fall just short of getting to host. Right?

Supposedly after the 16 seeds are named the rest is purely based on region, distance, separating out conference opponents, etc.

That was the narrative going into last years tournament. However they sent LSU up to Oregon and Connecticut got sent to the West Coast last year, so it’s not accurate to say they go off distance as LSU could have easily been sent to a TX or AZ regional

Isnt that exactly how the Husker were last year in the tourney? 2 seed in the 16 seed regional facing the overall 1 seed in the Super?

Really happy to see you guys starting to work your way back to the top in baseball. I've been watching Longhorn baseball for 50 plus years and some of my Fondest Memories are our battles with Nebraska in the Big 12. I still say it was one of the best rivalries in college baseball. it's a travesty that we don't play every year..

It wouldn't ever happen, but sign me up for a series every year with UT.
