This is where baseball is different unique, RPI is huge as usual but so is attendance and facilities, which is why we'd be hosting as a #2 seed. Between you and me, I don't believe were a host school right now but don't be shocked if we do get one as a two seed if we can take care of business against Northwestern and Purdue and sneak a series against either Illinois or Iowa. OSU also has a high RPI so losing to them doesn't hurt as much as many may assume.

We are a streaky team for sure so anything can happen it would be hard to forecast any series win against Iowa or Illinois at this point, given both are on the road. Would be lucky to go 3-3 over those two weekends and 2-4 is more likely. Purdue and Northwestern are just god awful but we have shown to play down to the lower levels of this conference in the past. 5-1 over those two weekends at home is the minimum expectation but I could certainly see us dropping 1 game each weekend.

Somewhat of worst case scenario puts finishing 6-6 and then facing a top seed in the B1G tournament. Obviously no 2 seed and host comes out of that.

Better case scenario puts us 8-4 and probably a 5 or 6 seed in B1G tournament. Would have to make a decent run to come out as 2 seed host.
